Yuba Highlands
is part of the 21,800 acre River
Highlands Community Plan located
in East Central Yuba County, South
of the Yuba River. The River Highlands
Community Plan was approved by Yuba
County 11 years ago. The land occupied
by Yuba Highlands within the Community
Plan is approximately 2,900 acres,
which is zoned LDR. LDR zoning allows
a maximum of two lots per acre.
Yuba Highlands is thus a conforming
use within the Yuba County General
Plan.
Yuba Highlands is Yuba County’s
First Master planned community and
will be much more than a bedroom
community for Sacramento. It will
provide Jobs on site for Yuba County
residents and will be the first
Yuba County project with a jobs/housing
balance.
At build-out, Yuba Highlands will
have approximately 5,000 homes and
1,000,000 square feet of retail
and commercial space.
